How Can Large Right Intraforaminal Disc Herniation And Severe Right Neural Foraminal Narrowing Be Treated?

I have a large right intraforaminal disc herniation at L5-S1, exerting mass effect on the exiting right L5 nerve root and resulting in severe right neural foraminal narrowing. Degenerative disc disease at L4-L5 with a diffuse annular disc bulge with intraforaminal extension, contributing to moderate right greater than left neural foraminal narrowing. What are my options?

Hi,

Your treatment plan depends on your clinical correlation. Disc herniation can lead nerve compression and for that neuropathic pain Pregabalin or Gabapentin can be prescribed. Physiotherapy also beneficial.

But if no improvement then ultimate treatment would be surgical treatment.I suggest you consult orthopedic surgeon for neurological nerve examination.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
