I was diagnosed with the parvovirus. I am 58 years. I am going into my 5 week and still have joint and muscle pain. I am taking ibuprofen 400 mg twice daily. I only get the pain around 4pm how long will this last and can I take any medication for it? Thank you very much for your prompt response.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-:
1)Take GaMAGUARD SD IV infusion as per your body weight ,which is an immunoglobulin and protects for future.
2)Correct anemia if you have low HB%
3)Add an antihistamine (Benadryl )
4) If pain is severe then take Ibuprofen-if no pain try to avoid painkillers always.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks,
I find this answer helpful
