How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

hello doctor! I am 21 yr old , diagnosed with pcos in jan 2017 having ireegular periods since last year august but now I am having no periods since april its been 5 months almost. 15 april was my last date when I had my last periods. My gyne suggested me progyluton. i have tried primolut n and omatril as well. i got no periods. tell me is this something serious ? as I am over weight 70 kg is my weight and Now I am trying to loose weight as well . my cbc was normal but fsh was too high 92 . please help me out having severe depression because of not having

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.

Delayed period could be due to hormonal imbalance because of changing of birth control pill.
I would suggest to wait for period. If period will delay by more than 14 days from expected period date, consult the gynecologist for detailed examination and for investigations of irregular menstruations. You may be asked for hormonal work up like FSH, LH, Oestrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin, etc. Before hormonal check up, you will be examined internally to find any organic disease like infection or cyst-Ultrasonography also will reveal a good amount of information regarding your internal organs (and even pregnancy also).
Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
