How Can Hypothyroidism Be Treated?

What kind of doctor is best to see if you suspect hypothyroidism. I have seen my primary care, neurologist for sleep apnea, orthopedic for osteoporosis and ? for fibromyalgia. From all of the symptons in cluding an xray that show some calcification of my thyroid I would like to see a doctor who can see all of my symptoms together. I have had surgery for carpel tunnel in both hands, mortons neuromas in both feet, am very sensitive to cold, nails are breaking all of the time, and have noticed my coarse hair start to thin in the front. I have restless legs and use a cpap, have taken depression and anxiety medications and am now gaining weight for me =five pounds to 8 pounds is major. A former rheumatologist and my chiropractor note fibromyalgia.

Hello,

To treat the hypothyroidism, you should consult with endocrinologist; who can treat it very well. These symptoms are pretty much due to hypothyroidism.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
