Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It needs a certain amount of sophistication with a pediatrician. this is a very common concern and therefore pretty much any pediatrician deals with it on a daily basis and a specialist generally is not needed. There are both drug and non-drug treatments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

General Surgeon Dr. Shinas Hussain's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are consistent with ADHD. Comprehensive treatment is required. Consult a pediatric psychologist and get evaluated. Behavioral therapy is the mainstay of the treatment and most of the kids improve with these line of treatment by the age of eight or ten. Always motivate the kid and unnecessary scolding may affect the prognosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
