How Can Holes Left After Pricking Chicken Pox Lesions Be Treated?
I have been in chicken pox for about a week and now my pimples have developed a black dead skin over them and I pricked a few of the dead skin off my pimples (I WAS STRICTLY ADVISED AND WARNED TO NOT TO DO SO) and now I have holes over the area I pricked. Help me treat them. I am really scared that they will last forever.
I would keep a possibility of post chicken pox scaring.
I would advice you that first let the scabs fall off and wait for the lesions to heal. sometimes forcefully picking the scab can expose partially healed lesions which might appear as a dent. Once your skin lesions are fully healed the dents might disappear themselves or reduce considerably.
So i would advice that you wait for at least a few days to let the skin recover.
For post chicken pox scaring, i would advice that you visit a dermatologist or dermatosurgeon for a discussion regrading the various treatments available. Your dermatologist would tell about various options and the best one for your scars. The various options are Fractional CO2 Laser, Microneedling, Punch grafting, Dermaabrasion, Chemical peeling(for superficial scars)etc.
take care regards
