How Can High Fever And Chest Congestion Be Treated?

My 11 year old daughter has had a high fever all day, slight congested cough and a small reduction in her appetite. No other symptoms feels better with other meds and fever lowers from 104 to 101.2. Not sure if I should take her to the Er or try to let it pass. NKDA Only chronic illness was when she was a baby, she had tubed put in her ears.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Let your daughter take rest. Eat light nourishing food (a small amount more frequently) give her paracetamol for kids three to four times a day after food & coscopin paediatric syrup Half spoon with warm water three times in a day.

In case there is no relief in 5 days. Take her to a physician for antiviral medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
