How Can Fungal Infection Around The Anus Be Treated?
Sir, fungal infection on anal side is curable? I have used different medicine but it appears again after few days.. Last time the dermatologist recommended for different blood test to ensure about proper immunity. After result nothing has noticed as unusual. I am suffering from this one year. First time it has noted on my groin area. After treatment it has cured 90%. But later it spread to the anal side. also I would like to know is is contagious? Will it spread to my family members?
Fungal infection is curable, however if the infection is not completely cured then there is a possibility of flaring up again. It is not recurrence but the lingering infection as the previous infection was not cured completely..
As you said the infection was 90% resolved, it is still let and I think that the infection flared up.
So it is necessary to continue the course of medicine till the infection is completely cured..
You can consult a Skin Specialist and get evaluated and a course of oral antifungal medicine like Itraconazole and topical ointments like Lotriomin can help in resolving the infection.
Also maintain a good hygiene, wear cotton under garments and loose clothes..
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
