Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can Foot Instep Pain Caused By Trauma Be Treated?
my nearly 3 year old son jumped from a height yestrday and hurt his foot. he has no swelling or bruising but he won t walk on it still. the pain seems to be around his instep and it s sore to touch or when i try to put sock or shoe on he won t allow me. should i take him to hospital? he s in really good form otherwise!
I suggest you take him to the hospital. It could be a sprain or a hairline fracture as he is not allowing you to handle it. He might require an X-ray of the region or a crepe bandage, please.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
