How Can Fever In An Infant Be Treated?

Hello, my son is 11 mo. and will have a fever and ill give him medicine then it will break his fever but I can tell he still isn t feeling well. He is very whiney and clingy. He has had 2 ear infections prior to this. and is constantly messing with his ears. he doesn t really have a appetite either he will only drink his bottles. and sometimes eat a snack. what do I do?

I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Considering all things you told,I would like to know if the baby has been given with any antibiotic course.Since there is persistent returning of fever,there has to be some source of infection in body.It needs to be further assessed by detailed physical examination and blood investigation.
As you told,the baby had repetitive ear problems in past and ear infection like otitis media can be a cause of fever.It needs to be treated with a course of antibiotics.For that,you need to get the baby checked by a paediatrician since just giving symptomatic medicines won't help.
