How Can Extreme Indigestion Be Treated?

I suffer from extreme indigestion, I am always taking rolaids, baking soda waters and over the counter anti acids. It seems when I go to see Doctors all they want to do is give me RX for nexium or that type of product. It seems to be getting worse and becoming more constant regardless of my diet. Even in the mornings when I have no food in my stomach...any suggestions?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

So far as symptoms narrated here, I suspect definite internal insult in GI system whether it can be stomach, intestine, gall bladder, pancreas or liver related issue or motility related problems from systemic causes.

In our clinic, I recommend a systemic work up of the patient with thorough history, physical examination, supportive lab tests, ultrasound and CT scan with or without upper GI endoscopy for the final diagnosis and further management guidelines.

I would like to assist further at anytime.

Regards.
