How Can Dry Patches Of Skin On The Body Be Treated?
Hi I have a skin problem where there are patches of dry skin and they come off sometimes like when I shower and it s a different colour to my natural skin which is brown and I tried moisturising and it doesn t work can you suggest something else or what it is. Also send you pictures if you need just email me thank you I went to a doctor and they couldn t do anything they just said it was my skin dry
The symptoms in your query dry patches of skin on the body are indicating towards skin condition called Tinea versicolor which is a fungal infection.
I would suggest you to bath less frequently with mild soap, use antifungal body wash, apply calamine cream as moisturizer, bathing with neem tree leaves and yogurt will be extremely helpful.
If condition persists or get worse then consult dermatologist for proper examination and to rule out other conditions like allergy or eczema. He/she may prescribe you oral antifungal medicines or other medications depending on the condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
