How Can Discoloration On The Skin While On Tuberculosis Medication Be Treated?
Hi doc my sis is taking anti tb pills from few days for semi blocked tubes due to this color of her urine become orange and her skin is becoming darker slight inching along with fatigue and not feel like eating anything. What can be done for this? Pls guide Thanks
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Urine discoloration is because of side effect of tuberculosis medication, which does not require any treatment. It will resolve on its own after completing the therapy. The skin discoloration can be prevented by covering the body while going outside to prevent sun exposure of skin. You have to do this upto completion of tb treatment.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren
