Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Probably loose stools may be due to

1. pancreatic enzyme deficiency with malobsorption of fat and diarrhea.
2. Secondary bacterial or viral infection and diarrhea.
3. Malobsorption of bile acids lead to reach colon lead to diarrhea.

He may need to take artificial pancreatic enzymes and anti infectious medication after stool examination. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As the diarrhea is secondary to pancreatitis, the primary management is aimed at the control of pancreatitis.
* Primary guidelines at present

- Evaluation of vital parameters of the patient clinically and lab parameters.
- Depending upon the findings of above, the patient can be a candidate for oral medications or intravenous support of antibiotics, IV fluids or other supportive care.
- Pancreatic enzymes and probiotics play very vital role in the recovery. Do give me further chance to assist in future.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
