Dear user
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns
I went through your details. It seems that the case is not of depression. The case seems to be personality disorder with which he lost his self confidence and self esteem. We need to find what created such a thought pattern. Personality assessment is required. Then motivation therapy, self confidence building measures and applied focus therapy could do the trick to bring him back to his normal path.
If you require more of my help in this aspect, please use this URL. http://yyyyyy/yyyyyy. Make sure that you include every minute details possible.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
