Complaint---Abdominal pain 6-7 on scale of 10 Healthy 58 yr old male 191lbs 6 ft. Takes medication for Atrial Fib no drug allergies but has stomach pain when ingesting tree nuts---avoided for several years. Last colonoscopy showed some diverticulosis 3 yrs ago. Had developed tick fever 2 yrs ago--recovered 1 day ago developed continuous abdominal pain ---went to ER Lab work unremarkable no blood in urine Cat scan with IV contrast was negative Appendix and bowl normal sent home on pain meds hoping it would just pass. Now continues to have pain and getting worse.
reduce your weight avoid taking nuts for diverticulitis consult surgeon for opinion on surgery consult gastroenterologist and with his opinion endoscopy can be done. dewarming with albendazol can be done.take a course of metrogyl.
