How Can Congestive Heart Failure Be Treated?
I am caring for my 85 year old mother. She was diagnosed with CAD 5 years ago with only medication treatment being an option. She developed congestive heart failure about a year ago. She is allergic to potassium and fluids are maintained as best as possible with 1/2 of a pill daily which is not lasix. Recently, her breathing is worse with just limited walking in house or bathing. Bottoms of feet are turning dark and also toenails. So far, bp, heart rate, and weight are not scary but we check them each day.
I am asking if you have an opinion on length of time one would have with these conditions.

Dear what is the pottacium allergy?? only pottacium contain drugs is she developed???
what is that pill ???
dear congestion cardiac failure treated with antihypertensive, ionotropic agents, diuretic s in case of ischemic heart disease need antiplatelet drugs etc..
Anti anginal drugs also useful for it.
Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Low salt diet and regular exercise may help.
Your history is not good enough to comment of right condition.
Please consult your cardiologist he will examine and do echocardiogram then treat you accordingly.
