Hi,

As per your clinical history, taking such medicines for a long period of time is not recommended at all. So, please go to the exact cause and follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [Pulmonologist] and to confirm, do few investigations like [CBC with differential, Chest x-ray, sputum RE/ME/culture, and Pulmonary function test].

2) Do take prescribed medicines as per clinical findings and pathological investigation reports only.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:

1) Try to avoid smoking.
2) Discuss with your Doctor about vaccinations like [Flu and pneumonia].
3) Try to wash hands. To reduce your risk of catching a viral infection, wash hands frequently and get in the habit of using hand sanitizers.
4) Wear a surgical mask when going outside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
