How Can Chronic Urinary Tract Infection Be Treated?

I have a chronic case of uti. I have been to my dr. For months. Have taken several types of anitbiotics lat one being ciprofloxacin 500mg. It calm it down but did not take it away. My dr. Is waiting to see what else can be done, and in the mean time i suffer from uti. U have any suggestions? Uti has been going on for years. But lately its been months off and on. Now it has been steady for two weeks. pls help

Wear a loose cloth and avoid tight clothes..
