How Can Chronic Sinusitis Be Treated?

My question is I have chronic sinus infection and my doctor wants to put me on prednisone. I have extreme mucus that effects my vocal cords, especially at night. My vocal cords are very noisy when I breathe. Would a nasal steroid help this condition. I do not want to take prednisone. Thanks for any help carolsclay4u2aol.com.

@ Guidelines of better cure
# Inhalation of boiled water vapors with preferably added tincture benzoin
with blanket covered over head 3 times a day
# Gargles with salted lukewarm water and added peppermint oil
# Maintain room temperature
# Plenty liquids orally with green tea , coffee preferably
# Deep breathing exercises , YOGA help tremendously
# Avoid excess spicy , sweets , chilled beverages etc
# In our clinic we recommend ebasil type molecules , antibiotics in
selective cases , decongestants , steroids as last resort
# avoid smoking or tobacco in any form / alcohol
# MRI is highly suggested to get permanent cure accordingly
