How Can Chronic Diarrhea In A Toddler Be Treated?
My son is having liquid watery yellowishish stools (about 4-5/day) for last two days. Now my son is about 2 yrs 9 mnths old , he has a previous history of RDS for which he has a locomotor problem (CP). A local family practioner prescribed O2 suspension 5 ml ( ofloxacin plus ornidazole) Is it safe to give it to my son.

In child mostly diarrhoea is due to viral enteritis by rotavirus. But as diarrhoea not improving for two days, antibiotic suspension mentioned in history can be prescribed.
Maintain hydration with lots of water. Electrolyte powder like ORS also can be prescribed. Zinc sulphate solution also beneficial in such case.
