How Can Chronic Cough And Fever Be Treated?

Four days ago, I developed a severe cough and fever. I was able to stay hydrated and get lots of rest over the weekend. Physically, I feel a lot better. However, I now have two fever blisters that not only itch and are sore, but are swollen and very ugly. I had to return to work. I am currently using Carmex, which does not seem to be working. I continuously wash my hands and use hand sanitizer when handling work items and coming in contact with others. I think I need a prescription. Am I wrong?

Hello,

During fever there is rash may occur probably due to herpes simplex infection or allergy or reaction to drugs. Until examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician/dermatologist they will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
