Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

There I have read through your questions and understand your concern. It is very important to diagnose your condition before proper treatment can be started. Since you have cough for more than three weeks, it is advisable for you to get yourself assessed by a physician. A chest x-ray will help to rule out other conditions. Your physician may also advise you pulmonary function tests to know the condition of your lungs . If Chronic Bronchitis is diagnosed you may be prescribed Bronchodilators like Theophylline and Corticosteroids. If you smoke, you should quit smoking, as it will aggravate your condition.

I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Nazma.amman, General & Family Physician
