Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Typically, treatment of a Bipolar disorder entails a combination of at least one mood-stabilizing drug and/or atypical antipsychotic, plus psychotherapy.

The treating psychiatrist decide the best treatement for every specific case.

Yes,the relapse of a bipolar disorder is possible, even under regular treatement.
In these cases,i suggest to consult your daughter's treating psychiatrist because it is possible to adjust the dosis or even to change the actual therapy.

My last advices for you:
maintain a calm environment, particularly when that person is in a manic phase. Keep to regular routines for daily activities -- sleeping, eating, and exercise. Adequate sleep is very important in preventing the onsetor exacerbation of episodes.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if i can assist you further.
