Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am going to soon have surgery on my shoulder - torn rotator cuff, etc. I am currently taking diclofenac for arthritis.I also take lisinopril and metformin as well as Armour thyroid. My doctor wants to change me to Celebrex. I am uneasy about making this change.Do you see a problem?
As per my clinical experience, the current presentation suggests no obvious need of changing analgesic molecule from Diclofenac to Celebrex, unless specific reasons for the same are there.
Along with analgesic, ice pack application, assisted physiotherapy gives best results.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
