How Can An Ear Infection Be Treated?
I can’t get to a doctor right now and ear is definetly. Infected. My brother has several antibiotics he didn’t take (Dr. switched them for another). I am 64 and healthy except for bone degeneration and arthritis. I haven’t taken an antibiotic in 12 years. Can you tell me which ones are used for ears! Thank you

The most commonly used antibiotics for ear infections are Amoxicillin or Augmentin but antibiotics should only be used when specifically prescribed.
There are some ear infections that require topical antibiotics only and some that are due to a fungal infection that would not respond to antibiotics- anti fungal medicines would be needed.
