How Can Acid Reflux And Abdominal Pain Be Treated?

Yesterday, whle walking, I could hear liquid bouncing in my stomach and I only had a cup of coffee. Last night I had a lot of acid during the night, to the point where I had to get up and prop myself up in bed. Today, my stomach is hard to the touch, and a little achy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I am sorry to know your condition and will certainly try to answer your queries.
Acid reflux (GERD) can be caused by lifestyle (obesity, smoking cigarettes, etc.), medication, diet, eating habits etc.
In many cases, lifestyle changes combined with over-the-counter medications are all you need to control the symptoms of acid reflux disease.
As your stomach is hard to touch, means that you some prokinetic drugs ( domperidone) as your gastric emptying is being delayed.Prokinetic drugs help speed up gastric emptying.
My advice - Avoid spicy food, eat small small and frequent meals, drink plenty of water, stop smoking along with medicines.
Please consult your nearby doctor for further management.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
