How Can Abdominal Pain On The Left Side Be Treated?
I took extra strength omega 3 500 mg and then without reading took a probotic pill with 416 mg omega 3 and folic acid, fatty acid and had loose bowel but the loose bowel has stopped but my stomach on my left side is hurting and i have an hiatal hernia over my stomach below my chest. Can I take an over counter drug for the pain? no nausea or heart burn or chest pain. i am on high blood medicine and take a low dose baby aspirin daily. I am 61 years old

If you otherwise feel well , like you don't have fever , or vomiting, and the pain is not very severe, then you can take over the counter painkiller (the best would be like paracetamol). I would always suggest you take some over the counter antacid, however if pain persists or worsen or you feel unwell you should immediately report to your doc.
