How Can A Wound On The Finger Be Treated?

Cut my middle finger to the bone know the knuckle on a glass, finger healed. X rayed at the hospital and no glass but the knuckle are is swollen and movement limited. Feels hard to touch almost like a bone is raised towards the knuckle. Any suggestions as to what this could be. Cannot knock on doors or anything similar with the hand as this would cause great pain. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear
I evaluated your concern in depth .
@ This seems extensive soft tissue injury , with restricted movements,
clinically has to be evaluated for suspected ligament injury by
examining range of flexion , extension of the proximal & distal joints .
@ For primary management :
# apply ice 3-4 times a day
# analgesic tylenol (500)mg morning and evening after meals
# put the hand in an arm sling support , avoid dependent hanging
Hope this clears your query .
Welcome for any further assistance .
