Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a wound in my groin area that will not heal. I have been using silvadeemm cream for 2 months. I have multiple sclerosis and am not ambulatory I have increased my protein but nothing seems to work I am on blood thinners daily and fear any surgery that my be needed. Will the hyperbaric chamber help at all?
The most concern here is the diagnosing the cause of wound in the groin area such as bacterial, fungal infection, post-traumatic, immune response or other issues.
Before commencing the treatment I suggest that kindly provide me with a high-resolution photograph of the wound for the best possible evaluation and guidelines.
Till that time, primary care of local part with a sterile dressing, systemic antibiotic as sultamycin ( if no history of drug sensitivity ), supportive medications as an antihistamine, antifungal as per the need.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
