How Can A Skin Rash In A 1 Year Old Be Treated?

My 1 year old nephew has a rash from his stomach to the top of his head. No fever. His skin does turn white when I press on a red spot. He had his chicken pox and MMR vaccines 8 days ago. Should I take him to the er? Also, I gave him zyrtec for the first time this morning

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Please note that some children develop rash after chickenpox or mmr or mr vaccine . As there is no fever or cough or cold , you need not worry .Just give zyrtec to child. If child develops fever or cough or cold then you should take child to emergency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
