How Can A Head Lump With Discoloration Be Treated?

My 4 year old daughter hit her head a couple weeks ago. She got bump on her head and it turned slightly black and blue. The bruise went away and the bump went down. But now she has a slight bump where she fell about the size of a sunflower seed and it is a pinkish color and can only be seen if you know its there. Should I rush her to the docs or let it be?

Hi,

If the bump is not painful, then ignore it. It will slowly decrease. Usually bruises or bumps change color over time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
