How Can A Growing Water Blister Be Treated In A Diabetic Patient?

My diabetic husband, age 74, has a huge water blister on his lower leg. He has not broken it but it seems to get bigger each day. I try to get him to put it up but he loves to monkey on his pc and won't listen. He also is a disabled Vietnam vet and an Agent Orange victim. How do I take care of this and stop it from growing?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir

It is an alarming condition, as it might cause lot of complications. So it is advised to consult your surgeon and try to open the blister under aseptic precautions.

Dead tissues needs to be debrided and proper wound care, dressing and antibiotics will solve the problem

Thanks
