How Can A Dog Bite Be Treated?

Hi, I just got bitten by my dog a few hours ago. The puncture wound is not deep, and it bled only a little. My dog s vaccination for rabies will be valid until oct 03 2016. Would it be better for me to get the tetanus shot just as a precaution? Thanks in advance.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Whenever dog bite occurs wash are throughly with water and soap...

You are protected against rabies as per history.. So no need for vaccine for that...

For safer side better to take tetanus injection after doctor consultation...

If wound deep enough than dressing needed

Take care

Consult physician for examination and than accordingly work up
