How Can A Baby Have A Liver Of A 12 Year Old And Why Did It Not Show Up In The Tests?
I have a friend who had a baby boy that was 13 mo,old who sudden died.The cause of death was an enlarged liver.He had his 12 mo.checked up the end of July.After the aurtopsy they said he had a liver the size of a 12 year old.How could this happen?Why didnt the dr. feel it during his 12 mo. check up/

I completely understand your concerns but there are many inborn errors in metabolism and storage disorders which cannot be picked up on antenatal examination. These disorders are very rare. Suggest your friend to go for complete neonatal screen for these disorders in next conception which may be useful.
