How Can I Stop Having Periods After Weaning Off From Sottopelle HRT?

I was on the Sottopelle HRT all last year. The last Sottopelle pellet should have worn off sometime in January 15. Soon after not being on it, I began having heavy period, lasting 3 weeks. It stopped for awhile and now is happening again. I read one woman s review on this same topic. She said her cycles started again after discontinuing Sottopelle and has been consistant for over a year. I am 64 years old and do not want to have periods!!! I am sleeping good and not having hot flashes; so I would like to not take any HRT pills. How can I stop having the periods?

Hi, I think you should take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. You will have some withdrawal bleeding after stopping HRT, but it can be controlled. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question.
