How Can I Come To Know How Many Weeks Of Pregnancy Am I Now ?
Hi I just found out I was pregnant this week. But I m not sure when I date my pregnancy from to see how far along I am. I had my normal period about the 10-11th of may, it lasted about 4-5 days, then around the 19-20th I had another round of light bleeding . I don t know which on to date as the first day of my menstrual cycle . I m wondering if I m about 6 weeks pregnant or closer or 8.

if don`t remember or confused about your last date of menstruation,you can go dating scan or ultrasound that will calculate duration of pregnancy with in the range of +_ one week. It is approximately 95 -98% correct to estimate the duration of pregnancy by dating scan

You should be considering the date on which you have had your Periods that is 10th May and also your Period date prior to that.
Considering this, you would be in the 8th week of pregnancy. Get yourself examined by a Gynecologist so that she can examine you and Prescribe Folic acid tablets. Stick to your treatment plan and go for regular follow up.

I need to know a few details before coming to a conclusion.How was the nature of bleeding on these two instances ? When was your expected date of periods normally ?
When did you find out you were pregnant and how ?
It is possible that your Last menstrual period is 10th or 19th .An ultrasound at later period can confirm this.However , please provide these details for a better advice.You can provide these details as comment to this reply or feel free to mail me.

The first bleeding was like a regular period. The second bleeding was lighter and only last a couple days. The expected date of my normal period was between the 10-15th of may. However my husband and I had just moved back in the country and were graduating college, so I don't know if stress had anything to do with anything. I found out I was pregnant on Monday, I took 7 home pregnancy tests, all positive.
