How Can GERD And Acid Reflux Be Treated?

Dear Sir,
I've diagnosed GERD - Gastritis. I was a heavy smoker and ate food late in the night, but when I diagnosed gastritis then I stopped smoking cigarette and completely changed my lifestyle, and now I'm on a very light diet (fruits, vegetables, cow's milk, rice and no chappati) since last 3 months, but I feel mild heartburn daily, and since last few days i'm not able to digest simple daal chawal (small portion and that too without spices).
I'm taking only Homeopathy medicines. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks for contacting with your health concern and following is symptom wise approach:

1. As the problem has resurfaced with acute symptoms, thus
. take an opinion of Gastroenterologist or medicine specialist who might ask for an investigation like endoscopy, gastric analysis, hemoglobin?

. As you have given up addiction thus any unusual STRESS: physical and/or mental could be the cause

. Do not lie down immediately after food.
. Head high position at night (during sleep)
. Take small nonbulky meals
. Bland and soft diet, avoid chilies and sour or fatty food
.
. Stop irritant drugs (pain killers)
.
Take: green gram,bitter gourd,white gourd melon,old brown rice,piper longum,garlic, honey,amla,rice gruel,cucumber,banana, watermelon, pomegranate,tomato, carrot,lukewarm water.
.
Avoid newly harvested rice, chickpea flour, black/horse gram, potato, brinjal, butter milk, spices,tea/coffee,junk food, day time sleeping, salt and salt items in excess (chutney, sauce, pickles, chips, namkeen), sesame.

. Suck a piece of clove (for immediate relief)
. Suck 10 gm jaggery everyday (after meals) for constant acidity.

.
