How Can Crohn S Disease And Fatigue Be Treated?

I have steroid dependent crohn s flair right now and have exhausted all mesalamines available. My doctor is talking about biologics. The only information I can find is given by the manufactures. Is there other pros and cons that I can review while making the decision to start them?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Biologics are better tolerated and are symptom free. Though they are a last line of treatment for Crohn's. Before surgical management of course. Hematological toxicities like Neutropenia, Thrombocytopenia are side effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pratik
