How Can COPD Be Treated?

I have been told I have COPD, in my lower lungs, but really no information how it is going to affect me - is there anything I can do to stop it or keep it from spreading. Is it necessary that I use the inhaler and will that clear it up, or is there no cure.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cops includes mainly two conditions, a chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Both are having different treatment and that causes irreversible bronchial obstruction.

There is no cure. Avoid smoking and take medicines regularly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
