How An Infant Can Gain Energy After Fever And Watery Motion?

Hi, my 9 months old baby is suffering from fever & passing watery motion 2/3 times in a day. Also he vomit twice after giving cereal meal. Given him ondem syrup 2.5 ml still he is feeling weakness & not taking meal as use all. So can you please suggest something to get some energy?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. Please do not use any glucose powder or adding excess sugar in his diet to increase energy levels..actually this will aggravate diarrhoea. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS... Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time.
