Homeopath Dr. Swati Ramkumar's  Response
Dear Sameer,
Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition in which the normal skin cycle of 28-30 days is reduced to just 2-3 days. This increased skin cycle leads to the formation of silvery white scales. This might just affect certain parts of the body like scalp, nails, joints or might be generalised. The exact cause if unknown, but stress is considered to be an important risk factor. Seasonal aggravations are known. Homeopathy being a mind and body medicine helps in effectively controlling the progress of psoriasis. A detailed case history is required for the same for which you would need to visit a homeopath personally. As per WHO guidelines, a relapse free period for 5 consecutive years is termed as cure.

A few precautions that needs to be followed-
1) Avoid any kind of friction or injury as psoriasis is known to spread to those parts
2)Keep the skin moistened with oil application, olive oil or vaseline petroleum jelly. Preferably apply those immediately after a bath, as the skin tends to absorb them better when slightly wet.
3) Avoid having hot baths or bathing for a long time, as this dries the skin further.
4) Alsi (Flax seeds) or fish, nuts like walnut (rich sources of omega 3 fatty acids) helps a lot .
5) Avoid intake of red meat (pork, mutton) as it tends to aggravate psoriasis.
6) Undertake certain breathing exercises, which help in relieving stress to some extent.

A combination of medicines, diet and exercises help in faster recovery.

Dear Samir,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum,
Psoriasis is very stuborn type of skin disease and it takes very long time for cure so you need to keep patience.Further any sort of local application would be of no help as it can only suppress the disease condition and not cure it and also it is against the principle of homeopathy .Homeopathy says that local applications should not be used to cure skin disease which are caused due to internal disturbance .It can never cure skin disease with local application and it needs to be cured by internal medicines modyfying the constitution based on your case study.

For this you need to consult your nearest homeopath or consult us

Homeopath Dr. Alisha's  Response
Psoriasis is a result of a range of changes at immunological level, such as T-cells, interleukins, etc. Psoriasis treatment has to be based on correcting those changes, which is best achieved by using homeopathic medicines. Use of cortisone or other immunosuppressive medicines leads to relapse after stopping their use. Results in Psoriasis treatment are significantly high when homeopathy is used.
Psoriasis treatment is best achieved by correcting immunity. Psoriasis cure has to be internal not through external homeopathy tratment is best suggeasted as it aim in improving immunity.
good luck

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease that appears on the skin. It occurs when the immune system sends out faulty signals that speed up the growth cycle of skin cells. Psoriasis is not contagious
On the up side, clinical studies in U.K showed that 97% of psoriasis patients treated with homeopathy show improvement with no side effects.
Skin management is also an important part of treatment.
(1)Apply olive oil overnight before washing your hair since it helps to loosen psoriatic scales.
(2) Use lip balm (preferably petroleum jelly) to prevent lips from chapping and heels from cracking.
(3)Take two spoons of Flax seeds locally known as alsi which are a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids with water in the morning before breakfast and in the evening before dinner.
(4)Avoid read meat since it contains a natural inflammatory substance (Arachidonic acid) which aggravates the inflammation.
International medical protocols consider the disease to be cured if there are no symptoms for 5 consecutive years.
