History Of Getting A Haircut Without Change Of Blade In Razor. No Cuts, Bruises, Normal Pain In Neck After Shave. Chances Of Getting HIV?

I went to a barber shop. After my hair cut she used a razor to clear hair on my neck. She did not change the blade of the razor before using it on me. I could not feel any cut/bruise on my neck but I can feel the normal pain on neck as felt after a shave. What are the chances of gettin HIV, do I need to go for a test? Or should not worry at all.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
If the razor get contaminated by HIV positive blood and if you use it then with minor cut the chance of getting HIV is there. Prevention is best in HIV than cure. ou can get done PCR/RNA test but you have to wait for min 6 days to get it done. You can take prophylactic treatment(PEP) if you think the chance of spreading is there. Consult your doctor ASAP for discussion on this, examination and management.
