High Blood Pressure, Feels Heartbeat Without Touching Pulse

Hi I have been checking my blood pressure for about 10 days now as I ahve not been feeling well. It is averaging out at 172/92, plus a pulse rate varying between 92 - 103. i am actually awaiting a 24 hour BP monitor and a 7 day heart monitor to be fitted on 6th June after a follow up with my Cardiologist , am I taking chance waiting till then? I have had 2 procedures over the last 4 years, a PVI and an ablation under the Cardiologist. Bit that is worrying me is that when I got a reading of pulse rate 103 this morning I could feel my heart beat without touching my pulse and felt clammy and not well, am I taking a risk waiting till 6th June or should I get into the doctor s now? Thanks S

Hi

Thanks for asking.

Your blood pressure is very high , 170 systolic blood pressure reading is good 30-40 points more than it should be.

Similarly the pulse rate of more than 100 is also on the higher side although not alarming.

I think you can continue to monitor if any worse need to consult the doctor.

Thanks.
