Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Ear Pain On The Left Side, Left-sided Neck Swelling And Slight Cough

Hi, for the past two weeks I have had a sore throat and and earache on the left side. Very little congestion but I do have some. My neck is swollen on the left side as well. No fever. Coughing a little. Weird thing is, when I wake up in the morning, no pain. It develops during the day.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of an upper airway infection. I recommend consulting with an ENT specialist fora physical exam and some tests:
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR
- A sinus X-ray study
- Allergy tests may be needed too, as the symptoms develop during the day

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
