Heavy And Painful Periods, Anemic, High Pressure. Is This Normal?

I am on my menstrual now, but my period flow doesn't really come out until I pee. I feel a lot of pressure below, but its not cramps (this is kind of hard to explain) but the pressure does not go away until I "pee" the blood out. I am anemic, and my period flows are usually heavy and painful to the point where I can't function. Is there something wrong or is this normal?

Hi,
To have a heavy & painful period ,disturbing daily life can not be termed as normal.Though the such habit runs family, It's not the menstrual but the hormonal pattern that is familial. It needs to be diagnosed & corrected to face stressful life full of competition now a days.
I feel anemia you have might cause more bleeding.
The Bearing down sort pain you have , is menstrual pain only helping blood clot/scanty bleeding out.It can be corrected by correction of menstrual hormonal pattern.
Please consult a Gynecologistfor physical/internal check up.
nessesery investigations. which will facilitate treatment of menses problem as well as anemia.
Till then,
- Have a protein,vitamin( Vitamin B complex,c,k specially), iron & calcium.
- take rest during menses. Fomenting lower abdomen & Valethamate bromide pill will help in pan.
Thanks.
