Dear Friend,

Your description suggests that your 2 yr old son developed an ecchymosis. this normally resolves by itself. The colours are due to the blood which is getting dissolved. Kids at this age bruise fast and heal fast too. A cold compress at the time of injury normally decrease the amount of bruise. If the bruise is not tender (pain on touch) don't do anything, just observe. If it is tender consult the eye specialist of a pediatrician. Take Care
