Having Red,flaky, itchy, patchy & Dryness Of Skin

Hi I have skin a skin condition right now that is red, flaky, itchy, patchy and can get dry. It has been spreading all over my body and I think I got it from using the same sponge as my dad (I now have my own). Do you have any ideas of what it may be?

Hi,

It seems that most probably you may be having psoriasis vulgaris. You have dry, scaly and itchy plaques on various parts of the body. It is not infectious. It is an autoimmune, chronic, relapsing condition. It may be hereditary also. Stress may exacerbate the condition. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and treatment. Local application of combined ointment of steroids and salcylic acid might improve the lesions. Methotraxate 5 mg three tab in a week at 12 hr interval in two days for few months or till good result may be advised. You avoid soap at bath. Apply moisturing cream after bath. You avoid stress and anxiety. You may be alright. Still any query, you may ask on the plateform of HCM through premium questions.

Thanks.
