Having Digestion Problem. Developed Burning Sensation And Burping. Suffer Anxiety And Stress. What To Do?

Hi, for about 10 years now I have had problems with, digestion, and have been told to stay away from wheat and dairy, but this dose not seem to make ahuge difference. In the last 3 yrs I have developed,a bad burning sensation down my left side, with my gut burbling and gugling, and a lot of very bad smelling gas, every few minutes.I have been told I have IBS so have tried diferent diets, nothing seems to work. I have been to a specialist, blood tests were fine.I have also be told I need to manage my stress and anziety as iam a worrer.Sometimes it will start to come right and I forget about itthis may be for a month or so,then,i eat what I want, and my guts seems fine, and then sometimes weeks down the track, something starts it off again. My grand mother had bowel cancer,so I realy want to sort something, just in case down the track it could lead to more serious things.

Dear friend,

Thanks for posting your query on this website. I can fully appreciate your concern for problem.

Your description of the chronic problem does suggest that you are probably suffering from IBS. Chronic H.pylori infection is also a possibility.

I will recommend that you take the following treatment:-

1. H.pylori Kit / HP Kit / Pylokit 1/2kt twice daily for 14 days.
2. Tab Serteraline 50mg one tablet daily at bedtime for 15 days; thereafter, increase the dose to one tablet twice daily. Continue it for about 3-6 months.
3. Tab Pantocid-DSR one tablet daily, 30 minutes before breakfast.
4. Isabgol husk 10-20gm daily at bedtime.
5. Tab Albend(400mg) one tablet every alternate day - total 3 tablets (to be chewed and then swallowed with water.

Your symptoms do not suggest bowel cancer. However, you should make it a point to get a Colonoscopy done to rule out the same.

I am highly optimistic that you will certainly benefit from the advice.

May I assure you that I am always available for your assistance and will try my best to cure your condition to the best of my experience and knowledge.

Please feel free to revert back to me in case of further clarifications, if any.

HAVE A NICE DAY AND A SPEEDY RECOVERY.

Fond Regards,

Dr.(Col) R Karanwal
