Have Swelling And Pain In Foot. No Test Or Medication Till Now. What To Do?

I have had my foot bother me for about two weeks never noticed any swelling or pain till this past Saturday when t popped and burns not I can not bear weight on it. Husband says it cant be broken because there is no swelling or bruising, I wan to get it looked at but don't know if I need to see an orthopedist or a podiatrist. Any thoughts

Thanks for writing in.
With your history, we can think of two possibilities.
1. Plantar fasciitis: In this there is pain in the sole of foot with difficulty in walking due to inflammation in the fat under the sole of the foot.
2. Stress fracture of small bones of foot: This can go unnoticed for sometime until you take medical attention. It is usually seen on X ray.

Please visit your orthopedic surgeon.
